Tor of the Mighty Orbots given the robot-samurai makeover. Tor is the Orbot strong man, originally he was designed to look rather gorilla-ish. I kept the humongous arms to show his strength. Gave him some pants because the manties he used to sport should remain in the 80's.
 Now he actually sorta reminds me of Optimus Prime. Maybe it's the whole red/blue/primate connection there or something. ^^ |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Now that i think of the series, the robots where treated quite like their were humans. But i don't know the two main characters names, but it was some human guy who was leader of the Orbots, had a robot girl with him who was the key too the Orbots trance formed form.. i recall them haveing a weird relationship. I don't know.
Anyways I love that your drawing the bots up! it brings back alot of old but great memories of my childhood.

The human was Rob Simmons/Orbots Commander aka Donatello from the original TMNT cartoon. XD
The little robot was Ohno. She said "Oh No" alot. One episode, Rob reprogrammed to say only "oh yes!" In another episode, she became human in hopes that Rob would love her more.
A very strange relationship indeed. XD (at least for the 80's... after anime, I wouldn't blink twice at such things.) ^^

This is the part where I say something witty... ...wait for it!!
I think the best thing out of all shows that envoles robots morphing in to one HUGE robot.. is when their all changeing and you got the dynamic music behind it.. its all SHAZAM! and your like "whoaaaa, cool." I think thats why i liked the show, Voltron, and Transformer were my other all time faves, includeing He-Man.. and he changed too! just not in to a robot, which would probably been cooler.
anyways! love your art man, and i love these trips down childhood cartoon memorie lane, hehe. keep up the work man, loven it!
